Start the Zodiac journey

  • After the opening cutscene, click the question-mark Scrolls on the wall. Once you have read enough of them, click the new Scroll that drops onto Rooster’s head, read it, and close it.
  • After closing the Scroll, let the dialogue event play, go to the center of the area, and click Rat near the couple holding a baby. Rooster chases Rat, ending the Prologue and beginning the route with the first Zodiac Animal he encounters.

Complete every Zodiac task in order

  1. Rat: When Rat shuts the door, choose “Wait, I have an idea!” to propose an Apology Basket. After the gesture gets the door open, continue the conversation until Rat softens and gives you Sticky Tree Sap.
  2. Ox: Pick up enough objects, then choose to interrogate Ox instead of continuing the clue search. When Ox tears the paper, put it back together with Rat’s Sticky Tree Sap. Making amends with Ox earns the Golden Egg.
  3. Tiger: Click one of the 11 suitors to begin the dates, then continue until you find Shan Shan. Give the Golden Egg to Shan Shan; Tiger responds by giving you the Refreshingly Cold Beverage.
  4. Rabbit: Use the clues from Rabbit’s conversation to choose the soup ingredients. When Rabbit’s mouth catches fire while tasting the soup, offer Tiger’s Refreshingly Cold Beverage. After the family enjoys the soup, you receive Frozen Wontons.
  5. Dragon: Keep the stove at the required temperature by pressing the cold or hot button, including while Dragon and Rooster are talking. Continue cooking each meal, give Dragon the Frozen Wontons when prompted, and collect the Jade Feather that grants its user the ability to fly.
  6. Snake: At each marketplace hazard, choose one of the three available shapes to protect Snake and the baby. When the baby climbs the tree and the option appears, use the Jade Feather. Completing the babysitting task earns the Magic Lantern.
  7. Horse: Follow each request shown at the bottom of the screen by selecting the required number of toolbar items. Choose to stop when Horse asks whether you want to keep going. When the lights go out, give Horse the Magic Lantern, then take the Wax and Seal Kit.
  8. Goat: Quickly collect the items Little Dove requests before he falls asleep. Once every request is fulfilled, complete the will by placing the items from the right into the matching blank spaces under the object names. Give Goat the Wax and Seal Kit to seal it and receive the Extraordinary Cutting Tool.
  9. Monkey: Grab the Scissors and click the paper to craft Joss Paper Offerings, then say that you want to stop so Monkey takes over. Use Goat’s Extraordinary Cutting Tool to enlarge the doorway, grab the matchstick and click the paper objects to burn the offerings, choose “I can’t do this anymore,” and click the Magical Blanket left on Little Dove.
  10. Dog: Thoroughly click every weed, patch of dirt, and twig in the garden. Once it is spotless, buy flowers and trees from Meow Meow’s Plant Shop and place them around the garden. Give the Magical Blanket to Lin Lin when she gets cold, then take the Fireworks from Dog.
  11. Pig: Use Tiger, Horse, Goat, and Ox on the ground to keep family members away from the house. Collect presents inside to prepare Gift Traps and place them on the lower floors. Survive the guest wave until night, then use the Fireworks when the lights go out.
  12. Final Rabbit apology: Choose the appropriate Cue Cards, using the number at the top left to identify the correct thing to say. If the card in your hand is unsuitable, click the cross at the bottom to decline it.

Recover from mistakes and confirm completion

If Little Dove falls asleep during Goat’s requests, click him to wake him. He will then request a new item.

If the current final-apology Cue Card is not the right thing to say, click the cross at the bottom to decline it instead of choosing it.

The route is complete when Rabbit forgives Rooster after the heartfelt apology. The Lunar New Year’s Eve party follows, and the credits then roll.
